After losing the toss (Andy never wins it apparently), Earls Colne elected to bat and were reduced to 78-7 via Glen's 3-12 from 10 (4 of those from his last delivery!) and Andy's 3-9 in his initial 5 over spell. Alex also bowled an excellent 10 overs for just 26, beating the bat on numerous occasions and getting no luck.

A brief flurry from the eigth wicket pair took Earls Colne up to a better looking total of 157 although clearly this looked inadequate.

Matters looked to be going pear shaped at 61-6 with key batsmen Robinson, Crumpton & Cole all exiting stage left for precious few. However, Andy was joined by Alex Franklin, who has shown in recent weeks a growing confidence and ability with the bat, and the pair saw us home with an unbeaten stand of 98.
