Following a weeks deluge of rain LBCC welcome Div 5 newcomers, Ashingdon, to the Chase for the 5th game of the season. The Welshman is in dogged form and puts together an invaluable knock of 73 on a very demanding wicket. Support comes primarily from Robbie Harris with a gritty 36 and a promising cameo from the middle Bucknell. LBCC eventually finish on 167 from their 45 overs.
At tea it is felt that if we put in the same application that was shown at High Easter the previous week then we stand more than a chance.
Glenda is a little off sorts this week but Sticky steps up to the plate to take 2-19 from his 10 overs. The skipper also weighs in with a couple of wickets but the star of the show is Caveman who takes career best figures of 6-30 against an impatient batting line up to win the game for LBCC.
